Timing, Announcing & Race Management

Eclectic Edge Racing began in Colorado in 1988, when William (a Colorado native) started producing trail races as fund raisers for the high school programs that he coached. Over the next 18 years, the company expanded from race production, into timing and announcing services for sporting events of all types.

In 2006, William transitioned to the Pacific Northwest, expanding the business into producing, timing and announcing 200 events a year, while still timing and announcing a small number of events in the Rocky Mountains. In 2020, William expanded back to Colorado with an Arvada based office. Along the way, a small Phoenix, Arizona branch developed to serve the Southwest.

Now in our fourth decade, we recently celebrated our 5000thevent of timing and announcing, ranging from multiple national championships to large road races to smaller local community events - we cover events of every size and every sporting type. Our core package of services includes RFID chip timing, professional announcing and sound systems, start/finish line materials and set-up, individual results printouts for each participant and immediate online results posting.

Our experience with timing and producing athletic events extends back over 35 years, to 1988 when owner William Wyckoff began hosting trail running events as fund-raisers for the high school cross country program that he coached in the mountains of Colorado.
