Packet  pickup:  The Columbia Room at the Valley River Inn is in the north building of the hotel.

For the night race: At packet pickup, please take a glow-stick bracelet to wear during the race - this will help with safety and competition.

Check it out! Also, post-race refreshments being hosted by El Torito for race participants from  10:30am-12:30pm after New Year's  Day races.

Event Description
Start the new year with a scenic run or walk in this unique event.  You can choose to participate on New Year's Eve or on New Year's Day or both. 

Event Challenge
Participants completing both events will be eligible for special awards,  based upon the cummulative time from each event.  There are three combinations of event doubles: 1)  Run both 5K events (10K total), 2)  Run one 5K event and one 10K event (15K total), and 3) Run both 10K events (20K total).

Distances
This event features a 10K (6.2 mile) and 5K (3.1 mile) run or walk.

Location
Valley River Inn - Eugene, Oregon.

Chip  Timing
This  year's event will be chip timed, utilizing a Chip Start.  Awards for this event will be based on Chip Time.

Directions
In Eugene, take the Delta Highway to the Valley River Center exit.   Turn left at the first stoplight after the exit (Valley River Way), and proceed south 1/2 mile to the Valley River Inn.

Course Maps
The  10K and 5K run/walks for New Year's Eve start and finish at the Valley River  Inn, while the courses for New Year's Day will start and finish at El  Torito.  All courses will follow the bike paths along the Willamette  River.  The courses are flat, fast and scenic!  For the night race,  the course will be well lit with street lights along the bike path.   Click here for a NEW  YEAR'S EVE 5K/10K COURSE MAP.  Click here for a NEW  YEAR'S DAY 5K/10K COURSE MAP. 

Entry Fees:  $20 for one event, $35 for both days, through December 30.  Add $5 on race day.  Ages 17 & under and 60 & over deduct $5.  Long-sleeve tech shirts are available for $12 and cotton for $8, while supplies last.
